the job...

Our Professional Tree Surgeons were asked by a neighbour of an existing client to reduce these two sycamore trees. Another company had previously reduced them 2 years ago and the re-growth had been excessive. In our opinion, too much growth had been removed previously and poor pruning cuts had lead to very tall and dense re-growth. During a site visit, we explained, how, over the course of 4-5- years, we could establish these trees as a feature of the garden whilst retaining the screen value of the trees, with regular, more sensitive pruning. The client was more than happy with what we had done, although we were not pleased with how the trees looked, but we performed the action that was necessary and our tree surgeons will be able to use the future growth to establish a more natural tree shape and growth habit.

About Crown Reduction

When our London tree surgeons perform a tree crown reduction they ensure that all the branches are cut back to a suitable length and back to a suitable growth point. The entire crown is thereby reduced in size and volume but maintains a pleasing shape in line with the natural profile for the species.

"We have two precious trees in our small London garden. Toby clearly knew all about them and how best to prune and shape them. He did a beautiful job."
