the job...

Our team of dedicated Wimbledon tree surgeons have been monitoring this tree for a few years since decay was discovered at its base.

The upper crown was starting to die back and in order to prolong its life we reduced it lightly to encourage new growth and we removed all the deadwood to make it safe.

We will continue to monitor it in the coming years in the hope that it will continue to give pleasure to its owners.

About Crown Thinning and Cleaning

Thinning the tree’s crown will also include the removal of any crossed or suppressed branches and also the removal of any dead wood. The material left should contribute to an even crown in terms of density. This process will also limit the chances of future dead branches making the trees safer in urban London gardens.

"We have two precious trees in our small London garden. Toby clearly knew all about them and how best to prune and shape them. He did a beautiful job."
